With 39 years of experience in the construction industry and several industry safety awards to his name, Emil joined Berkeley Building Company in 2010 as President, and now proudly serves as CEO. The St. Louis native is a graduate of Washington University, and references retaining BBC’s talented staff as his biggest professional accomplishment.
While at BBC, Emil’s largest projects to date have included 43 Westland Avenue, 44 Burbank Street and Parcel 9. He cites Radcliffe College as one of his most challenging projects to date, yet also one of the highest quality projects he believes BBC has completed, due to the many obstacles that he and his team successfully overcame.
Outside of BBC, Emil has been recognized for his charity work, and is actively involved with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children, and the Pan-Mass Challenge bike-a-thon. He also regularly visits his two daughters in California when he’s not hiking, running, or pursuing his dreams of starting a rock band.
