A Massachusetts native, Stephen Oliver joined Berkeley Building Company as a Lead Carpenter in 2010, and is now a Superintendent. He is a graduate of The University of Massachusetts Boston.
With 20+ years of experience within the construction industry, Stephen believes that a good reputation as someone who gets things done has been an important aspect of his career. He has prior experience working for independent framers, owning his own carpentry business, subcontracting and even working for father and daughter paper hangers as a young teenager.
Although Stephen references Symphony Court Boston Condominiums as his largest project at BBC to date, he tends to play a role in most projects in one way or another. Other projects Stephen has worked on include The Wadsworth House, Mooncusser Fish Restaurant, and various projects at Harvard. He has also been the proud recipient of BBC’s coveted “Best-Looking” award for the past few years, although he claims he’ll be willing to pass the torch to another worthy candidate if challenged.
In his spare time, Stephen enjoys surfing, jiu-jitsu, and working out. He also participates in charity golf tournaments, and is always willing to share his construction skills with elderly people who need assistance taking care of their homes.
